The Huron City Commission will hold their weekly meeting tonight. Commissioners will consider awarding a bid to reinforce the shoreline of the island on Ravine Lake as a part of the James River Master Plan. A public hearing will be held for the transfer of liquor licenses between ownership groups for the Crossroads Hotel. The licenses to be transferred are a retail on-sale liquor and retail on-off sale malt beverage license. The Commission will consider a resolution to re-appoint Jeff McGirr to the Mid-Dakota Rural Water System’s Board of Directors and will get an update from the Public Safety Committee. That group will update the City Commission on the placement of stop signs at 9th Street and Lincoln Avenue. The change would make the intersection a four-way stop. There are no scheduled work session items, but an executive session for a contractual matter is on tonight’s agenda. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
