The Huron City Commission is meeting for the final time in June tonight. Commissioners will consider a donation to People’s Transit after hearing a presentation a few weeks back on the transit organizations financial situation. The governing body will also consider a request to temporarily post parking in front of the Blue Bird Consignment store on Dakota Avenue as short term parking for this week. The second and final reading of a rezoning petition ordinance is tonight for a piece of property near the airport. Commissioners will also hear recommendations regarding the Campus Center from the Park and Recreation Board. Announcements regarding city services for the 4th of July will be made and the City Commission will here an update on the boards and committees that Commissioner Mark Robish is liaison to in a work session. There are no scheduled executive session items. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
