The Huron City Commission is holding it’s regular weekly meeting tonight. Commissioners will consider a lengthy consent agenda, consisting of 14 items to be approved at the same time. The Commission will consider awarding two bids, a payment request and a release and settlement agreement for a bid bond on a curb, cutter and handicap ramp replacement project. Commissioners will round out the agenda by holding second reading and public hearings on two ordinances. The ordinances were contained together two weeks ago and based on discussions during first reading, are now separate. They deal with banning the use of corrugated steel for roofing and the placement of garages on small lots with no house. There are no scheduled work or executive sessions for the Huron City Commission, who meet tonight at 5:30 PM in the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
