City Commission Meets For Variances And More Tonight

The Huron City Commission will meet as the Board of Adjustments tonight for two variance requests. One of the variances, is a request by Gary Rudloff to expand his towing business . The second variance is filed by James River house regarding setback changes for placement of a Governor’s House on Utah Avenue Southeast. When the City Commission reconvenes, Commissioners will consider awarding a bid for construction of a water tower near Dakota Provisions and a payment request. Public hearings will be held for special event alcohol license for two upcoming Chamber Mixers and the Commission will get a semi-annual update from the Greater Huron Development Corporation. The Huron City Commission will also consider a Beer Garden Permit request filed by the Red Arrow Bar. Commissioners will a request to file an application to the Assistance To Firefighters Grant Program and to request letters of Congressional Support. A work session on the 2012 City Budget has also been scheduled. The Huron City Commission meets at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public.
