The Huron City Commission will start 2011 by holding a public hearing for a retail on-off sale wine license filled by Chekkers convenience store. The Commission will also consider a combined election agreement with the Huron School District and set April 12 as the date for municipal elections. The Commission will also consider Robert Sharp and Associates for website work and e-mail services. Commissioners will consider a resolution allowing City Engineer Mike Wever to contact the Howard R Green consulting firm, using a Master Consulting Agreement passed last week by the Commission. The second reading of the supplemental appropriations ordinance is tonight as is the first reading of an ordinance regarding personnel. Commissioners will consider the appointment of members to the Golf Course board and will end the meeting in executive session for Union Negotiations. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building and it is open to the public.
