The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will hold the second reading and public hearing on an ordinance regarding campaign election signs and will consider declaring a truck faring as surplus. An announcement regarding the city’s recycling program will be made along with announcements regarding the solid waste schedule for end of the year holidays. The City Commission will also announce it is meeting New Year’s Eve at noon to wrap up 2014 city business. The agenda looks short however work sessions on the police department and the nursing program at Huron Community Campus will be held. There are no scheduled executive sessions for the Huron City Commission. The group will meet at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public.
