The City will enter into an agreement with Condrey & Associates, an Athens, GA consulting firm, to do a wage study; the first the city has done since 2009. City employee unions requested the study in negotiations. The cost of the study will $32,500.

Also at last night’s city commission meeting, approval was given for the city to submit a state water plan application for sewer improvements.
The funding request for the first phase of the project, which will include replacing aging equipment at the Pre-treatment Facility and Sequencing Batch Reactors, is $5.7 million.
