City Approves Variance And Home Occupation Permit For Small Engine Business

There was no one present to oppose Halsey’s plan and Commissioner Jan Manolis said she received a letter encouraging the Commission’s approval. Halsey’s son will live on the property so the business can be considered a Home Occupation.  Mayor Dave McGirr expressed concern over what hours engines that would be repaired would be operated at and Halsey ensured the Mayor noise concerns would not be an issue…

The new location is two miles north of the airport on Highway 37.  Halsey will need to consult with the state Department of Transportation for placement of the sign near the state highway.  The business also deals in synthetic lubricants and agricultural plastic.
