City Approves Variance Request and Plat for Property in Morningside

Last night, the Huron City Commission approved a variance request by Moeding Construction to allow a lot that is less than the 5-acre minimum at the northeast corner of Redfield Ave & First Street NE in Morningside.

The variance will also allow a concrete construction business at the location which is not specifically listed as a permitted use in an area zoned B-3 or General Business.

There will be no wastewater disposa|. Russ Root plans to construct a shop that will be used for cold storage only and does not intend to have a restroom Municipal services are not available for this area as it is outside the city limits.

Commissioners also approved a plat request for the property filed by Moeding Construction.
