The city will pay a Wisconsin company an extra $68,504 for additional cleaning of sewer mains on 3rd street. Visu-Sewer, Inc. was contracted to clean and reline the sewer lines. The company says heavier than expected sediment build-up requires more cleaning; the city will pay Visu-Sewer by the hour for the additional work. City engineer Brett Runge said last night he is aware of other cities which have required additional cleaning due to heavy build-up. In addition to the change order, the city also approved a payment to the company for the project in the amount of $383,058.00.
