The City of Huron and Greater Huron Development Corporation is working toward an agreement regarding land in the west industrial park. G-H-D-C Executive Director Jim Borszich says a spec building is under construction in the park. In the past the city has held land in trust for the development corporation, but this time the conditions are different….
Borszich would like the city to do a quit claim deed on the property, however City Attorney Gerry Kaufman says city can not hold someone else’s mortgaged property…
Kaufman added there are safeguards in place for the city…
The spec building under construction in the west industrial park will be 50-thousand square feet when completed.
