Christmas Basket Rolls Into Night Two Tonight

Pledges totaling 10-thousand, 316 dollars are in after the first night of the 65th annual Salvation Army Christmas Basket Program.  The pledges from Monday night are a record for first night pledges.  Tonight is the second of four nights with holiday entertainment as the Salvation Army in Huron looks to raise money for the Christmas Food Basket Program.  Last year over 53-thousand, 800 dollars was raised during the event.  Performing tonight at the Huron High School Auditorium will be the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church Choir followed by the American Lutheran Church, Dakota Harmony Chorus, We Found Sound and vocalist Frank Palleria.  You can view the Christmas Basket program in person for free at the High School Auditorium or view the program online at www.christmasbasket.us.  The Christmas Basket program can be seen starting at 6:30 PM on the Huron Tiger Network on Midcontinent Cable Channel six and on the radio on 12-10-AM K-O-K-K.  Applications for receiving Christmas Baskets are being taken tonight from six to eight P-M and weekday afternoons from one to three P-M at the Salvation Army at 237 Illinois Avenue in Huron.
