Christmas Basket Program Wraps Up Tonight

Ph2011 x-mas basketone pledges totaling 30-thousand 739 dollars have now been received after three nights of the Salvation Army Christmas Basket program.  Tonight is the final night of the annual program with vocalist Frank Palleria starting the night at 6:30 P-M, followed by the Holy Trinity Choir of Angels, the guitar group Voila, Mt. Olivet Church and the James Valley Christian School Band.  Proceeds raised during the program go toward supplying Christmas Food Baskets for less fortunate families in Beadle County and surrounding areas including Wessington Springs, De Smet, Alpena, Miller and Tulare.  The Christmas Basket program continues through Thursday at 6:30 each evening with five different performers each night.  The program is broadcast live from the Huron High School Auditorium right here on 1210-AM KOKK,  The Huron Tiger Network on Midco Cable channel six and on-line at www.christmasbasket.us.  The public is invited to the view the program in person at the High School Auditorium.  Admission is free.  Those who have made pledges to the program are reminded to send their donation to the Salvation Army, P-O Box 1362, Huron, South Dakota five-seven-three-five-zero.  Please mark on the check or envelope, “Christmas Basket Program”, to ensure your donation goes to the proper account.
