Phone pledges totaling $24,171 have now been recieved after three nights of the Salvation Army Chirstmas Basket Program. Tonight is the final night of the annual program with the Huron Middle School 7th and 8th grade band starting off the evening at 6:30, followed by the Holy Trinity Choir of Angels, the Noteworthy Strings, Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Choir and the James Valey Christian School Band. Proceeds raised during the program go toward supplying Christmas food baskets for less fortunate families in Beadle County and surrounding areas, including Wessington Springs, DeSmet, Alpena, Miller and Tulare. The Christmas Basket program is broadcast live from the Huron High School Auditorium on KOKK 1210-AM and Midco cable channel 6. The public is invited to enjoy the program in person. Admission is free. Those who have made pledges to the program are reminded to send in their pledge to the Salvation Army at P.O. Box 1326, Huron, South Dakota 57350.
