Another Salvation Army Christmas Basket program is in the books.
Phone pledges totaling $33,067 were received during the four nights of the annual event.
If you made a pledge to the program, you are asked to send your pledge to the Huron Salvation Army at P.O. Box 1362. Please write on the check or envelope “Christmas Basket program”
Today is the final day that the Salvation Army is taking applications for the Christmas food baskets and Angel Tree gifts.
Applications must be made in person at the Salvation Army, 237 Illinois SW, from 1-3pm today.
You’re asked to bring social security cards and photo IDs for each family member, proof of residency, verification of income for the previous 60 days, the prior month’s expenses and food stamp amount, even if you have applied in the past.
