The Clark County American Legion has finished an Americanism project called “Charters Of Freedom”. Organizer Dave Adam with the Clark American Legion says the display, located along highway 212 in Clark, South Dakota, was finished about a week ago and will be dedicated on Veterans Day this Sunday.
Adam said members of the group “Foundation Forward”, where the concept originated, are expected to attend the dedication. The nonprofit group is an educational organization that’s building the Charters Of Freedom settings in local communities across the nation. He says the replicas allow the public to see what the original Bill of Rights, Declaration Of Independence, and Constitution really look like.
The Clark American Legion and community have been spearheading the project. The display is located off highway 212 at Flat Iron Park in the downtown area.
