Changes To Winter Storm Warnings

A rapidly moving winter weather system has led the National Weather Service move some of their warnings and advisories around. A Winter Storm Warning is NOW currently in effect for a narrow band of counties including Hyde, Buffalo, Jerauld, Sanborn, Miner, Davison and Hanson Counties. A Winter Weather Advisory is posted for the counties of Beadle, Hand, Kingsbury and Aurora. Snowfall amounts of three to six inches are likely in a relatively narrow band stretching from Jerauld Couunty, Southeast through Lincoln County with locally higher amounts possible.
