After several days of quiet weather, the chance for severe weather will make a return to the forecast.
Peter Rodgers with the National Western Service in Sioux Falls says the best chance for severe storms will be Friday night into early Saturday morning.
Rodgers says heavy rainfall is also possible.
He says while severe weather is less frequent this time of year, it isn’t unheard of.
The best chance for heavy rain will be along and west of the James River.
