Official from SD Game Fish and Parks,the city of Chamberlain and the Chamberlain Explorers club held a ribbon cutting at their new enclosed fish cleaning station. The new fish cleaning station is ADA accessible including a high capacity fish grinding table, washing station, a bathroom, heated floors and air conditioning. Outside it is easy to find on main street in Chamberlain with a photo station and a new sign that states Chamberlain, walleye capital of the world. Lake Francis Case Economic development director Mike Lauritsen talks about how the project came about.
Lauritsen talks about the response from SD GF and P.
He said Gf and P was a great source for designs for the fish cleaning station.
He said fishing at Chamberlain is a big draw regionally and from anglers from adjoining states and stated the features of the facility are a great benefit.
They were pleased at how well the project came together.
Lake Francis Case Economic Development is working on additional projects with the city of Chamberlain, Gf and P and the Explorers club to provide more access to the outdoors that are ADA accessible.
