The Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls has released a list of priests that likely sexually abused children between 1958 and 1992.
11 priests are on the list. Nine of the priests are dead. The other two have been defrocked.
Bishop Paul Swain says he hopes the list will encourage any victims to tell the police or the Diocese.
The Diocese says there have been no substantiated accusations since 1992.
He’s urging all Catholics in the Diocese to pray for healing for the victims and for the Church.
The Sioux Falls Diocese covers all the Catholic churches in eastern South Dakota.
Earlier this week, The Rapid City Catholic Diocese released a similar list.
