An investigation into the cause of an early morning fire the destroyed a Wessington Springs car dealer is complete. State Fire Marshall Paul Merriman says while his office has ruled the January third fire at Springs Auto accidental, officials were unable to pin point an exact cause of the blaze. Crews from three departments spent up to seven hours on the scene fighting icy streets and dealing with minor explostions from both brand new cars in the showroom and customer cars being serviced in the shop. Three cars from the showroom and approximately four to five in the service shop were lost in the fire. The remaining inventory was moved off of the lot during the fire, and are currrently parked at the Humm Dinger Two gas station owned by Springs Auto owner Lawerance Caffee. Caffee has said he is not sure if he will rebuild the dealership.
