The Mid America economy seems to be humming along quite nicely, but there are some cracks starting to appear.
Ernie Goss, at Creighton University in Omaha, compiles the monthly surveys of business managers in the nine-state region. He says the overall index is still showing solid growth
Goss says the jobs index was at fifty nine point four, up from fifty two point three in January
Goss says he is getting worried about the inflation index
Goss says that can lead to higher interest rates, which can slow down business growth.
