Huron police are investigating a burglary at the Veterans of Foreign Wars facility in the Huron Mall. Public Safety Director Gary Will Jr. says the burglary happened sometime between 10:30 P-M Friday night at 10-A-M Monday morning….
A large, but undisclosed amount of money was in the safe when it was taken. Will says it’s entirely possible the V-F-W burglary may be tied to the burglary of safes from the Happy Jacks Casino and Scoreboard Bar and Grill last October….
Anyone with information about the V-F-W burglary or who may have seen suspicious activity around or near the V-F-W location in the Huron Mall is asked to contact Huron Police at 353-8550 or Huron Area Crimestoppers at 353-8555. A reward may be offered for information that leads to an arrest.
