A Huron man is out on bond following his arrest early Wednesday morning after a stand-off with police. Bond was set at 10-thousand dollars cash or surety Thursday for Christopher Scott Santfleben. He posted bond shortly after a brief court appearance. The 41-year-old is facing two charges relating to the stand-off. Santfleben is charged with possession of a destructive device, a Class four felony. And possession of an explosive device with intent to injure, intimidate or destroy property, a Class three felony. Beadle County Deputy States Attorney Jeff Banks said in court alcohol is a factor in the incident. The Human Services Center in Yankton declined to examine Santfleben.citing they believe alcohol and not mental issues are involved in the case. Santfleben has no prior criminal history that prosecutors are aware of. He did request a court-appointed attorney.
