The Huron School District has announced changes for the head girls and boys basketball coaching positions. Head girls coach Wade Stobbs has resigned after four years as head coach, and will be replaced by Tim Buddenhagen, who moves over from the head boys job after 17 years as head coach. Stobbs will remain on the girls staff. Buddenhagen said it was a tough decision
Buddenhagen said it was a family decision as daughter Tenley was a varsity player last year as a freshman.
Buddenhagen was head girls coach from 1988 until 2001 and he spent one year coaching both programs. Activities Director Terry Rotert said a search for a new boys coach is now underway. The moves were approved by the Board of Education last night.
