The Huron City Commission meets in regular session tonight.
The commission will convene as the Board of Adjustment to consider a variance request by Dan Kight. He is requesting to construct a detached garage at 975 Illinois SW. The garage will be 452.25 square feet (with removal of the existing detached garage and shed) over code which states all structures on the lot including accessory buildings shall not exceed 30% of the lot area in an area zoned R-2 (One Family Residential District).
Also tonight, commissioners will consider:
Awarding the bids for the 2019-24 Anaerobic Lagoon Cleaning project to Olson Construction of Huron in the amount of $ 154,411.20.
Authorizing the Employee Safety Committee to apply for a grant with AED Grant.com to purchase AED’s and authorize the City Inspector to sign related documents.
Consider closing documents for Splash Central/Central Park New Market Tax Credit Structure and authorize the Mayor to sign related documents.
