The Huron Board of Education has given approval to a one year pilot program that would allow 6 grade students to participate in middle school track .
Athletic Director Terry Rotert says the program will not add any additional cost.
Rotert says there are six track meets on the schedule.
Rotert says the program, is designed to get students involved in athletics at an earlier age.
