Another candidate has officially entered the U.S House race in South Dakota. Tim Bjorkman made the official announcement at an event last night in Canistota. Bjorkman is a Kimball native who is a former attorney and circuit court judge. As a judge, Bjorkman says he has seen the worsening drug epidemic in South Dakota.
He says the state lacks resources to adequately treat the problem.
Bjorkman says that shortage of resources has led to a larger prison population.
Bjorkman is running for the House seat currently held by Kristi Noem. Noem is running for governor in South Dakota in 2018.
