The fair has suspended live poultry exhibits due to the outbreak of avian bird flu earlier this summer that killed millions of turkeys and egg-laying chickens—mainly in upper Midwest states. Peter Nielson is a 4-H youth development program director with SDSU Extension. He says the poultry barn will still be active during the fair….
