The Beadle County Veteran’s Memorial is holding an open sign up period to add additional names to the Memorial Wall. The wall holds the names of military veterans from Beadle County. Keith Schrader, who spearheaded an enhancement project in 2013 to add the wall and statues to the Memorial at the corner of Third and Wisconsin in Huron, says he’s had requests to place more names on the wall. The open sign-up is now through February 22nd. Schrader says this is the only sign up time being made available this year. Only Beadle County veterans or active military personnel from Beadle County are eligible with an honorable discharge. Donor cards are available at the Beadle County Veteran’s Service Office on the first floor of the Beadle County Courthouse or by contacting Keith Schrader at 352-4893.
