Officials in Beadle County are joining others across South Dakota in requesting a disaser declaration because of damage caused by a wind storm June 21st Beadle County Emergency Management Director Tom Moeding says at least six other counties are making similar requests….
The Beadle County Commission recently passed a resolution declaring a disaster. Approximately one mile of Dakota Energy lines west of Iroquois were taken out when winds gusting to over 85 miles an hour tore across Beadle County. Codington and Hamlin County have also passed resolutions declaring disasters for damage caused by storms on June 21st and 22nd.
