Last night, the city heard the semi-annual report from Beadle County Humane Society.
Executive director Kim Krueger said she appreciates the city’s decision to sound the emergency sirens on July 13th and Sunday evening. Krueger said it not only keeps residents safe but pets as well.
Krueger said for the first six months of 2019, Beadle County Humane Society saw a slight increase in the number of animals taken in compared to the same period in 2018.
Krueger said so far 607 animal licenses have been sold.
With the South Dakota State Fair coming up soon, Krueger reminds you that only service dogs are allowed on the fairgrounds. Leaving your dog in your vehicle while you attend the Fair is not an option.
