The City and County both retain the right to opt out of the agreement at anytime, based on work loads. Commissioner Dale Schneider says a back log of city cases is part of the reason for the assistance from the Beadle County States Attorney’s office. Any continuation of the agreement beyond 2012 would require action by the City of Huron and Beadle County.
