Executive Director of Huron Community Campus Doug Pietz appeared before the city commission Monday night to discuss a new Bachelor of General Studies program that HCC plans to offer through Northern State University. Pietz says the program would enhance the existing associates degree program.
Pietz explained how the program would benefit students.
Students would pay $335 per credit hour. No fees will be charged.
Both NSU and the Board of Regents have told HCC they will approve the program if it was requested by the HCC advisory board. The board has drafted a letter making that request. Commissioners voted to give HCC permission to send the letter.
