Senator Jason Frerichs of Wilmot attempted to suspend the rules in the state Senate Tuesday, in an attempt to make a change to the just passed school funding bill. An amendment was added to HB1182 in the House that drops the two year enrollment averaging that schools have been using under the old funding formula. The attempt to suspend the rules to debate the amendment failed on a vote of twenty to thirteen.
