The numbers show that April, so far is among the coldest on record.
Pat Guinan, Missouri State Climatologist, led the monthly North Central Regional Climate update, and says there has been lots of snow across the region.
Guinan says they continue to watch snowpack add up in the Montana mountains.
Guinan says lower reaches of the Missouri River basin also have heavy snowpack.
The monthly report also shows much of that snow on the plains is rapidly melting.
