AG Jackley Sues Prescription Drug Manufacturers

Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that his office has filed a civil lawsuit in State Circuit Court against three prescription drug makers.

The lawsuit accuses Purdue, Endo, and Janssen of deceptive marketing and sale of prescription opioids.

Jackley also announced a $27.5 million settlement over tobacco money for the state.

The money has been trapped in an escrow account during a decade-long dispute between the State and the major tobacco companies.

It will be used for education.
