AFBF President Says Trump Administration Believes it’s Close to New NAFTA Deal

Thousands attended the opening day of South Dakota’s largest outdoor farm and ranch show near Mitchell. American Farm Bureau Federation president Zippy Duval of Georgia was on hand touring the grounds and visiting with attendees on a variety of topics including trade.

He says the Trump administration believes it’s on the verge of a new North American Free Trade Agreement….

Duval says dairy and poultry issues are two major points holding up an agreement with Canada.

However he says the administration is looking for a long and drawn out battle with China regarding trade.

Duval says U-S soybean exports to China alone amount to $14-billion dollars.
