ADM Elevator In Tulare Preping For Spring Open

TULARE, SD – A new Archer Daniels Midland grain elevator is opening in the spring in the northeastern South Dakota town of Tulare. General Manager Jeff Gottman says the elevator will start receiving grain April 1. It has the capacity to store 2.2 million bushels. Construction began in late 2010 and will wrap up by the end of April. The elevator will handle 110-120-car shuttle trains and also will have high-speed truck-loading capabilities.
Gottman says farmers in a seven-county area are expected to use the elevator. It will employ about 10 people.
