Aberdeen Joins The Ranks In Adding Texting Ban

Aberdeen is the latest city in the state to make it illegal for any driver to text while driving.  The Aberdeen City Council passed their second reading of the ordinance last night and it will take effect 20 days after the law is published.  Publishing is set for Thursday. Violation of the law will be considered a Class 2 misdemeanor with a maximum penalty of $500 and 30 days in jail
