Huron Mayor Dave McGirr will be in Pierre on Thursday to give testimony in support of a bill designed to allow for the suspension of an alcohol license in an emergency situation. The bill, Senate Bill 99, is sponsored by District 22 Senator Tom Hanson and Representative Jim White, in in response to the lengthy time that elapsed before the State Revenue Department could take action on the liquor license held by Werner Fajardo, who is charged with multiple counts of rape, following a Huron police investigation of illegal activities taking place at Fajardo’s El Cuervo Bar….
