The results are in for the latest Performance Radio News Poll. This week we asked what option you would choose the help the Huron School District close a one-point-three million dollar funding gap in the districts budget. 75-percent of respondents say they would vote for not only a newly proposed one year 750-thousand dollar opt out, but also a one-cent sales tax increase on the November ballot. Twenty-five percent say they would vote for the opt out only and NOT the sale tax measure. The one-cent sales tax measure would bring approximately one-point-five-eight million dollars to the district, but only if voters across South Dakota approve it. The overall measure would bring South Dakota an extra 180-million dollars, which would be evenly divided between health care and education. The Huron School Board will vote on how to proceed with the one year opt-out at it’s meeting Monday night
