The Huron Salvation Army is getting close to having a final number for actual donations to the 2011 Christmas Basket program….
Ken Linblad hosts the four-night musical program that saw a record number of pledges made this year…

Despite the increases in donations, fewer people actually applied for the food baskets at Christmas….

Linblad also wants to extend a thank you to the hundreds of volunteers who made the Christmas Basket program possible. 2011 marked the first year the entire program was streamed on the Internet as well as broadcast on local cable access and radio stations.
