Alltel Switch To AT&T Could Take Place By End The Of 2010

In June the Federal Communications Commission approved the transaction of AT&T taking over Alltel’s assets in the state of South Dakota.  Many Alltel customers have been wondering when the transition of the service provider will be taking place.  South Dakota Public Utilities Chairman Dusty Johnson tells us that the transition may not take as long as originally thought…

Former Alltel customers will need to change to a device that is compatible with the new AT&T network.  AT&T will provide free comparable wireless devices to Alltel Wireless subscribers in South Dakota when the customer is migrated to the GSM network.
