A 38-year-old Alpena man has pleaded guilty to a federal indictment charging him with Possession of Fraudulent Immigration Documents. Santos Cruz Pastrana is accused of providing the un-named employer a fraudulent Permanent Resident Card and Employment Authorization Card in September of 2009. Prior to 2006, Pastrana had been issued an Employment Authorization Card. However, in 2006 his application was denied. Therefore, Pastrana did not have a valid Employment Authorization Card during that time. The Permanent Resident Card was also fraudulent in that he had never actually been issued one. Pastrana could be sentenced to a maximum of 10 years in prison and or a 250-thousand dollar fine. He will be sentenced on January Third of next year (2012).
