The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider two payment requests and setting a bid date for bids on water treatment chemicals for 2012. A public hearing will be held for the Huron Chamber’s latest special event on-sale alcohol license for the next Chamber Mixer. The first reading of an ordinance relating to zoning and hobby farms is tonight. Commissioners will also consider recommendations for a new library director and to accept a new insurance plan. The Commission will also announce the solid waste schedule for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Huron City Commission will also meet in executive session for Union Negotiations and will hold a work session on delinquent assessments. The Huron City Commission meets at 5:30 PM tonight and the meeting is open to the public.
