Developer's Agreement Approved By City For Central Park

Mayor Dave McGirr believed the Commission had passed a resolution to that effect, however the Commission passed a resolution transferring the 12-million 875-thousand 400 dollars.for the project to the Huron Community Development Foundation through the Greater Huron Development Corporartion. Central Park per the Developer’s Agreement will be operated by the city for seven years while the New Market Tax Credit financing for the project is in place. The agreement call for Central Park to be gifted to the City at the end of the seven year span. The City Commission also set December 13th as the bid date for bids on the construction of the Huron Aquatic Center portion of Central park. The bid will include severe penalties of 2500 dollars per day if the Aquatic Center is not operational by May first of 2013.
