SIDEWALK TO NO-WHERE ISSUE APPEARS AGAIN

At last Monday night’s Huron City Commission meeting City Planner Barry Cranston described the request from a home owner building in the Lake heights addition.  They asked to finish their project without installing public sidewalks with adjoining properties that do not have side walks.

There have been instances previously when the side walk requirement was not enforced.  Tarin Oyler said the lack of side walks in the neighborhood is the only reason the issue was brough up.

Huron Mayor Mark Robish covered the history of the mandatory side walk issue.

Short of home owners following the policy and the City of Huron working to enforce the regulations that may go on.  The request was rejected on a unanimous vote.
