The detour around the Sd Highway 37 reconstruction project in Huron was extended from 5th street through the 7th street intersection. Project engineer with the SD Department of Transportation Parker Riddle covers the next section of the project.
Parker covers the work to start Tuesday 8/20/2024.
He said the two block section of work from 5th to 7th will require the removal of trees in the current boulevard including 11 ash trees on the Campbell Park side.
Riddle said weather permitting the reconstruction project from Market to 7th will be complete in mid November.
4th street will be open to east – west traffic. The full detour will be from Market to 9th.
