City Commission Meets Monday Night

The Huron City Commission Monday night in addition to approving a drug dog program, approved a bid by CBI company of Plainsville Illinois for one-million gallon water tower in the North Industrial Park. The bid of one-point-8 million dollars, was 300-thousand dollars under the city’s estimate of two-point-one million dollars. Commissioners also approved a payment request by B & B Contracting for work on a sanitary sewer force main. The Commission approved the assessments on delinquent specials assessments to forward to Beadle County and approved full time status to Police Officer Sam Freng. The City Commission will not meet next Monday due to the Native American/Columbus Day holiday. The Commission ended the meeting in executive session for union negotiations.
